Shackin’ Up CD Release Party SATURDAY JUNE 3rd!

Hello! Through the trials and tribulations of the past couple of years, we are finally ready to release our CD , “Shackin’ Up.” We recorded it with Bill Douglass (Royal Recording) in a heritage cottage on the shores of Lake Huron called “The Shack”. There were a couple of tracks that we weren’t 100% satisfied with, so Trevor Mackenzie of Mackenzie Music Studios helped us to re-record. We can’t wait for you to hear it!

  • Show will be Saturday June 3rd at Heartwood Hall. Doors @ 7:30pm  and concert begins @ 8:30pm
  • Tickets are $12 advance, $15 at the door. Tickets are available at Heartwood Hall or online
  • We will be having guest musicians Pete Devlin on Banjo and Alex MacDonald on percussion

The concert will follow with Dylan and Lauren serving some food (lentil dal and rice and maybe cold springrolls). Everyone loves food! We will end of the night with an 80’s dance party!

Can’t wait to see everyone! -Dylan & Lauren

Happy Winter and Music Biz Tune-Up!

Happy 2017! We have been busy at home staying cozy and  working on our music space.  Yesterday, we went to the first of the Georgian Bay Folk Society’s workshop series on being a musician in the music business. There will be workshops held throughout the year on everything from performing to booking a tour, culminating in a conference in October. What a wealth of knowledge. James Keelaghan, Artistic director is really trying to develop this community as a place where musicians can live. We recommend that any musician interested, whether you are just into the open mics or pursuing gigs should take part!
